Pump Control Valve Selection Guide

※ As shown in the figure, it is most desirable to use the ‘Booster Pump Control Valve (Model 139-010)’ when the minimum water pressure is applied to the suction part of the pump. At this time, the function of each valve shown in the figure is as follows.

※ If piping is installed in the form of a booster pump control valve system while using a deep well pump, there is a very high possibility that the water column in the pump suction piping accelerates the driving part of the valve downwards and an amplified water shock occurs. Therefore, it is safest and most efficient to have a control system suitable for the type of pump.

By applying NSF/ANSI Standard 61 epoxy powder coating to all valves as a basic specification, it has excellent chemical resistance to seawater, certain acids, bases, chemicals and solvents, and provides hygienic water supply to users.

Notes on product selection

One.	Check the flow performance of the product and select a diameter suitable for the required flow rate. If you select too small a bore, the supply flow will be insufficient, and if you select too large a bore, chattering may occur.

Additional information

One.	In the case of solenoid valves, indicate the power used and IP class. (eg 220V AC, 24V DC, 12V DC/IP65)

2.	In the case of pressure reducing valves and relief valves, indicate the set pressure. (Example: Set-3K)

3.	Check the fluid used. All products produced by our company are for water use, and when used in fluids such as oil, jet oil, seawater, etc., be sure to indicate this information.

●	When the pump does not work

	When the pump does not operate, it is supplied to SOL1 and SOL2 through the secondary control flow inlet (4) → shuttle valve (2). At this time, since electricity is cut off, the fluid passes through SOL2 and creates pressure in the upper chamber, so the valve closes. If a malfunction occurs in the power supply, the valve is quickly shut off to prevent reverse flow.

●	When the pump start switch is pressed

	When the pump operates by pressing the pump start switch, the fluid flows into the lower chamber through SOL1, and the fluid in the upper chamber is discharged to the atmosphere through SOL3. The high pressure on the inlet side formed by the operation of the pump passes through the flow path of the primary control flow inlet (1) → shuttle valve (2) → SOL1, and forms a pressure in the lower chamber to gradually open the valve.

●	When the pump stop switch is pressed

	When the pump start/stop switch is pressed, all the flow paths of the solenoid valve are changed, but the pump continues to operate. The high pressure of the pump flows into the upper chamber of the diaphragm to close the valve, and when the valve is completely closed, the signal generated by the limit switch (3) is sensed to stop the pump. At this time, the pressure continuously supplied from the pump forms pressure in the upper chamber through the flow path of the primary control flow inlet (1) → shuttle valve (2) → SOL2 to close the valve.
